Typed and photostatic copies of three manuscripts written by Thomas Owens about the iron ore industry in Minnesota. Owens describes methods of transportation of iron ore, construction of the Duluth and Iron Range Railway and the shipment of ore between the mines on the Vermilion Range and the ore docks in Two Harbors, Minnesota. Owens was a pioneer settler in Two Harbors, and vice president of the Duluth, Missabe and Iron Range Railway.
